Holiday Mode

The time of year when days are longer, weather is warmer, and the coast is calling...holiday mode.

Holidays begin as soon as the car is packed and we're on the road. Anticipation builds through every scenic valley and over every hill until the first glimpse of the ocean ahead has the kids squealing in delight and the adults quietly exhaling.

Days ahead on the sand, in the sea, and soaking up the sunshine before the sunset puts a full stop to the day by way of pretty light blazoned across the sky and coastline.

Holiday mode...we don't want it to end.

Created with palette knives on 12 oz stretched cotton canvas, this beautiful reminder of coastal road trips and Summer holidays is framed in a solid Tas Oak timber frame. It comes satin varnished and with a COA.

Sharon Rynehart is an impressionist palette knife artist widely recognised for her flowing, expressive style of the sea, land and sky. A former Interior Designer and Colour Consultant, Sharon had health issues a while ago that saw her turn to painting for therapy and healing. Transforming her creative practice into what she now calls ‘heartwork’; emotive, hope-fuelled pieces inspired by faith, connective memory and experience, and the beauty of our Australian coastlines and landscapes. Sharon uses her background in colour theory to create original artworks with beautiful colour harmonies that allow you to reflect on your own story; to finish the train of thought, to remember a time or place, and to explore and feel the emotions they instill. Artworks that are relatable, that invite you to reflect, force an exhale, evoke a sense of calm…and bring you hope.

Sharon enjoyed recent success as a Finalist in Art to Art’s acclaimed “Unearthed” Art Prize, and has been fortunate to have several of her artworks featured on Channel 9’s “The Block” TV show. She has also had pieces featured in Grand Designs Australia Magazine. Sharon has gallery representation in both Brisbane and Melbourne and apart from these galleries, her works can be viewed in person tri-annually at the Affordable Art Fairs in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

Now widely collected both in Australia and Internationally, Sharon’s pieces continue to resonate with many, inspiring calm and connection through an uplifting sense of place and emotion. They are a reminder to always look for light and hope…no matter the trials and challenges we all face.
