Artwork Description

There's light and beauty hidden in the parts of this piece that at first seem dark and moody. There's parts I simply I adore, and then parts I think are 'meh'. It kind of sums up my overall mindset and mood right now I guess! Free-falling through days tinged with despair and grief in the world, but in amongst that, reminders of kindness, generosity, patience, love...hope. Hence it's title, hope when it hurts.

You can choose to keep this piece whole or frame it up in sections that speak most to you. I've shown you my favourite part in pics with the mat mount. (NB mat mount not included)

UV protected and varnished, this is a gorgeous piece that with changing light shifts the tone and highlights the metallic gold accents.

As always with my alcohol ink pieces, I recommend framing under UV protectant glass to best preserve the inks for many years to come.

Thank you for having a look...I hope you too can find hope amongst the hurt.

Artist Bio

“…painting stories evoking light and hope.”

Sharon Rynehart is an impressionist palette knife artist widely recognised for her flowing, expressive style of the sea, land and sky. A former Interior Designer and Colour Consultant, Sharon had health issues a while ago that saw her turn to painting for therapy and healing. Transforming her creative practice into what she now calls ‘heartwork’; emotive, hope-fuelled pieces inspired by faith, connective memory and experience, and the beauty of our Australian coastlines and landscapes. Sharon uses her background in colour theory to create original artworks with beautiful colour harmonies that allow you to reflect on your own story; to finish the train of thought, to remember a time or place, and to explore and feel the emotions they instill. Artworks that are relatable, that invite you to reflect, force an exhale, evoke a sense of calm…and bring you hope.

Sharon enjoyed recent success as a Finalist in Art to Art’s acclaimed “Unearthed” Art Prize, and has been fortunate to have several of her artworks featured on Channel 9’s “The Block” TV show. She has also had pieces featured in Grand Designs Australia Magazine. Sharon has gallery representation in both Brisbane and Melbourne and apart from these galleries, her works can be viewed in person tri-annually at the Affordable Art Fairs in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

Now widely collected both in Australia and Internationally, Sharon’s pieces continue to resonate with many, inspiring calm and connection through an uplifting sense of place and emotion. They are a reminder to always look for light and hope…no matter the trials and challenges we all face.
