Quiet rest. Time to be still. Pause and reflection. Inhale and exhale. It's all here in the waiting. In the in-between what's gone before and what's yet to come. We can be stuck dwelling on the past, and focusing on the future, that here in the present - the waiting - we miss the beauty and blessings, and peace and contentment, of the every day.

This lush coastal landscape evokes that stillness and contentment for me in the 'right now'. Under a beautiful dusk sky, with the lull of gentle waves to calm the senses, and still inlets offering sanctuary, where horses quietly graze in green fields, oblivious to any past, and with no worry about a future...there is beauty, blessings, peace, and contentment. Right here, right now...here in the waiting.

Created with palette knives on 12 oz stretched polycotton canvas, this emotive artwork has been framed in a solid Tas Oak timber frame. It is satin varnished and will come with a COA.

Sharon Rynehart is an impressionist palette knife artist widely recognised for her flowing, expressive style of the sea, land and sky. A former Interior Designer and Colour Consultant, Sharon had health issues a while ago that saw her turn to painting for therapy and healing. Transforming her creative practice into what she now calls ‘heartwork’; emotive, hope-fuelled pieces inspired by faith, connective memory and experience, and the beauty of our Australian coastlines and landscapes. Sharon uses her background in colour theory to create original artworks with beautiful colour harmonies that allow you to reflect on your own story; to finish the train of thought, to remember a time or place, and to explore and feel the emotions they instill. Artworks that are relatable, that invite you to reflect, force an exhale, evoke a sense of calm…and bring you hope.

Sharon enjoyed recent success as a Finalist in Art to Art’s acclaimed “Unearthed” Art Prize, and has been fortunate to have several of her artworks featured on Channel 9’s “The Block” TV show. She has also had pieces featured in Grand Designs Australia Magazine. Sharon has gallery representation in both Brisbane and Melbourne and apart from these galleries, her works can be viewed in person tri-annually at the Affordable Art Fairs in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

Now widely collected both in Australia and Internationally, Sharon’s pieces continue to resonate with many, inspiring calm and connection through an uplifting sense of place and emotion. They are a reminder to always look for light and hope…no matter the trials and challenges we all face.
