When storms threaten, or the blues descend - what (or who) do you look to for hope? When waves crash through boundaries, or vast voids linger without end - where do you find hope? For me, in that darkness I look for the light. Because in all of it, though there doesn't appear to be any, there is still light. Light that pushes away the blues, the darkness, and the emptiness. Light that guides, fills and inspires. In the light I find peace, contentment...hope.
This emotive yet bold artwork is inspired by the journey many of us face each day - to live in a world of grief, loss, heartbreak, health issues, and trial. We persevere. We keep going. We draw strength from the little things - like the rugged coastline, shifting skies, and persistent seas. One day at a time, not afraid to face the darkness because we know ultimately it doesn't last, and light always wins.
Created with palette knives on high grade stretched polycotton canvas, this statement seascape is framed in a handcrafted solid Tas Oak timber frame. It comes satin varnished and with a COA.
Thank you for stopping to view "Light Always Wins" - a piece that I hope will inspire and encourage it's new owner for a lifetime to come.
NB: While every effort is made to capture the true colours and details of my artwork, every screen is different and art viewed online does not do my work justice. Slight differences may be evident between a screen image and the true tone and textures of my work, which is more vivid and beautiful in reality. Scale may also be slightly off due to the insitu art app used, so please ensure you measure your space.
