Artwork Description

"There is a particular disorientation that comes when something threatens the loss of a loved one. What once felt grounded and secure can suddenly seem untethered, uncertain...your whole world shifts.

And yet, in that space between before and after - where the past feels painful and the future unknown - there is also a heightened awareness of relationship and the love shared. A better understanding of how deep the connection truly is, and how lost you'd be if they were suddenly gone.

I recently faced that kind of fear, and this was the first figurescape I created in its wake.

'Lost Without You' reflects both the fragility and the beauty of relationship...the awareness of how life might feel without them, touched by uncertainty and longing...but, more importantly, it celebrates what is here now; the shared moments, the closeness, the familiarity, the sense of walking side by side.

There is a peace and comfort in that realisation. There's gratitude. And light. And that brings hope. Because even in the face of uncertainty, that special bond remains - steady, enduring, and deeply felt - something that will forever transcend time, place, or circumstance."

Created with palette knives on high grade stretched cotton canvas, this emotive artwork is framed in solid Oak timber and is satin varnished. It will come with a COA with the above artist statement written on the back.

Artist Bio

“…painting stories evoking light and hope.”

Sharon Rynehart is an impressionist palette knife artist widely recognised for her flowing, expressive style of the sea, land and sky. A former Interior Designer and Colour Consultant, Sharon had health issues a while ago that saw her turn to painting for therapy and healing. Transforming her creative practice into what she now calls ‘heartwork’; emotive, hope-fuelled pieces inspired by faith, connective memory and experience, and the beauty of our Australian coastlines and landscapes. Sharon uses her background in colour theory to create original artworks with beautiful colour harmonies that allow you to reflect on your own story; to finish the train of thought, to remember a time or place, and to explore and feel the emotions they instill. Artworks that are relatable, that invite you to reflect, force an exhale, evoke a sense of calm…and bring you hope.

Sharon enjoyed recent success as a Finalist in Art to Art’s acclaimed “Unearthed” Art Prize, and has been fortunate to have several of her artworks featured on Channel 9’s “The Block” TV show. She has also had pieces featured in Grand Designs Australia Magazine. Sharon has gallery representation in both Brisbane and Melbourne and apart from these galleries, her works can be viewed in person tri-annually at the Affordable Art Fairs in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
