Artwork Description

Have you ever been walking along the beach and the sun catches the 'mother of pearl' on the inside of an opened shell ? Those gorgeous colours that just dazzle? Or have you ever seen a picture of grains of beach sand magnified? The incredible colours and textures? This alcohol ink artwork reminds me of all these things...all so precious, formed by the elements of Mother Nature.

The shapes and colours in this are a beautiful blend of smoky greys, warm golds, blush pinks and peaches, sand and chartreuse, accented with metallic gold.

It is created on a composite panel gloss board which is mounted to a cradle wood frame. It is UV protected and varnished to best preserve the inks.

NB: This should not be hung in a place where sunlight casts it's rays directly across the surface, or directly under fluroscent lighting.

Thanks for looking!

This one also complements "Heartsong" (separate listing).

Artist Bio

“…painting stories evoking light and hope.”

Sharon Rynehart is an impressionist palette knife artist widely recognised for her flowing, expressive style of the sea, land and sky. A former Interior Designer and Colour Consultant, Sharon had health issues a while ago that saw her turn to painting for therapy and healing. Transforming her creative practice into what she now calls ‘heartwork’; emotive, hope-fuelled pieces inspired by faith, connective memory and experience, and the beauty of our Australian coastlines and landscapes. Sharon uses her background in colour theory to create original artworks with beautiful colour harmonies that allow you to reflect on your own story; to finish the train of thought, to remember a time or place, and to explore and feel the emotions they instill. Artworks that are relatable, that invite you to reflect, force an exhale, evoke a sense of calm…and bring you hope.

Sharon enjoyed recent success as a Finalist in Art to Art’s acclaimed “Unearthed” Art Prize, and has been fortunate to have several of her artworks featured on Channel 9’s “The Block” TV show. She has also had pieces featured in Grand Designs Australia Magazine. Sharon has gallery representation in both Brisbane and Melbourne and apart from these galleries, her works can be viewed in person tri-annually at the Affordable Art Fairs in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

Now widely collected both in Australia and Internationally, Sharon’s pieces continue to resonate with many, inspiring calm and connection through an uplifting sense of place and emotion. They are a reminder to always look for light and hope…no matter the trials and challenges we all face.
