"Storms are often a metaphor for darkness and trials in life. But they can be beautiful too. We canāt appreciate the light without darkness, just like we canāt appreciate the joys and blessings in life without the pain and heartache. When storms threaten I now choose to see the beauty within them. The strength they evoke, the resilience to endure, the patience to withstand. Thereās a lesson to learn, and the reminder that the light will eventually break through the darkness bringing hope.
Storms over the ocean remind me of this more than ever. Theyāre temporary. But beautiful. Within them they carry rain that brings renewal. Winds that sweep away the frustrations and pain. Thunder that reminds me of power and a greater voice than my own quiet still one. While they are dark and forbodeing, storms can indeed be beautiful too.
A powerful and expressive artwork created with palette knives, I hope this emotive beachscape serves as a reminder through tough dark times, that light is coming, and while you wait, you can see the beauty within."
It is framed in a solid Tas Oak frame to complement and is satin varnished. It will come with a COA which includes the artist statement above.
NB: While every effort is made to capture the true colours and details of my artwork, every screen is different and art viewed online does not do my work justice. Slight differences may be evident between a screen image and the true tone and textures of my work, which is more vivid and beautiful in reality. Scale may also be slightly off due to the insitu art app used, so please ensure you measure your space.
