Artwork Description

When different elements come together to exceed expectations we call that ‘synergy’. This beautiful seascape effortlessly came to life - the colours, textures, the composition, the subject matter - it exceeded my vision. Synergy. The vision I had was to capture the mood of the coast in the fleeting moments of a winter sunrise, as the darkness still lingers overhead, but the light evades to bring life to a fresh new day. But the moments repeat at the end of the day too. As the weight of darkness forces the sun to sink, the light cast on the water and earth below, is awe inspiring in the moments that quickly pass. Blink and you miss it...

Created on artist quality stretched canvas, this colourful and emotive seascape is painted with palette knives and is framed in natural Ash timber. It is satin varnished and will come with a COA.

I hope "Synergy" inspires you and does just as it's name suggests...brings a beautiful synergy to whatever space you choose to settle it in. Thanks for looking!

NB: While every effort is made to capture the true colours and details of my artwork, every screen is different and art viewed online does not do my work justice. Slight differences may be evident between a screen image and the true tone of my work which is more vivid and beautiful in reality. Scale may also be slightly off due to the insitu art app used, so please ensure you measure your space. Thank you!

Artist Bio

“…painting stories evoking light and hope.”

Sharon Rynehart is an impressionist palette knife artist widely recognised for her flowing, expressive style of the sea, land and sky. A former Interior Designer and Colour Consultant, Sharon had health issues a while ago that saw her turn to painting for therapy and healing. Transforming her creative practice into what she now calls ‘heartwork’; emotive, hope-fuelled pieces inspired by faith, connective memory and experience, and the beauty of our Australian coastlines and landscapes. Sharon uses her background in colour theory to create original artworks with beautiful colour harmonies that allow you to reflect on your own story; to finish the train of thought, to remember a time or place, and to explore and feel the emotions they instill. Artworks that are relatable, that invite you to reflect, force an exhale, evoke a sense of calm…and bring you hope.

Sharon enjoyed recent success as a Finalist in Art to Art’s acclaimed “Unearthed” Art Prize, and has been fortunate to have several of her artworks featured on Channel 9’s “The Block” TV show. She has also had pieces featured in Grand Designs Australia Magazine. Sharon has gallery representation in both Brisbane and Melbourne and apart from these galleries, her works can be viewed in person tri-annually at the Affordable Art Fairs in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

Now widely collected both in Australia and Internationally, Sharon’s pieces continue to resonate with many, inspiring calm and connection through an uplifting sense of place and emotion. They are a reminder to always look for light and hope…no matter the trials and challenges we all face.
