The First Falls of Winter (Framed)

The first snowfalls of the season in the Snowy Mountains and Brindabella Ranges are something quite special. That time between scorched lands of Summer, and snow covered grounds in the midst of Winter, means that the land is still lush from Autumn rain. The wild brumbies that live in the 'Snowies' and 'Brindies' are frequently spotted in their mobs. In this late Autum/early Winter time it's so pretty to see them grazing on lush green open fields with the ranges and fringes around them dotted with the first falls of snow. This palette knife artwork is inspired by those early first falls of Winter.

It is framed in a solid Beech timber frame - lighter than oak - finishing this artwork off beautifully. The painting has been satin varnished and will come with a COA.

Sharon Rynehart is an impressionist palette knife artist widely recognised for her flowing, expressive style of the sea, land and sky. A former Interior Designer and Colour Consultant, Sharon had health issues a while ago that saw her turn to painting for therapy and healing. Transforming her creative practice into what she now calls ‘heartwork’; emotive, hope-fuelled pieces inspired by faith, connective memory and experience, and the beauty of our Australian coastlines and landscapes. Sharon uses her background in colour theory to create original artworks with beautiful colour harmonies that allow you to reflect on your own story; to finish the train of thought, to remember a time or place, and to explore and feel the emotions they instill. Artworks that are relatable, that invite you to reflect, force an exhale, evoke a sense of calm…and bring you hope.

Sharon enjoyed recent success as a Finalist in Art to Art’s acclaimed “Unearthed” Art Prize, and has been fortunate to have several of her artworks featured on Channel 9’s “The Block” TV show. She has also had pieces featured in Grand Designs Australia Magazine. Sharon has gallery representation in both Brisbane and Melbourne and apart from these galleries, her works can be viewed in person tri-annually at the Affordable Art Fairs in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

Now widely collected both in Australia and Internationally, Sharon’s pieces continue to resonate with many, inspiring calm and connection through an uplifting sense of place and emotion. They are a reminder to always look for light and hope…no matter the trials and challenges we all face.
