Then Came Love

What colours do you associate love with? Red? Pink? Purple? It's usually a warm colour for most of us. The colours of love for me are exactly these in this expressive warm seascape...magenta pinks and blush, deep sea green, warm umbers and siennas. And there's no other place I love more than the coast at sunset. So how could I not add 'love' to the title of this pretty artwork...

Love for the location; the rugged coastline with persistent waves and secluded sandy inlets. Then love for the time of day; the sun setting casting beautiful rays of light blazing across the sky and landing on everything below. Then love for the feelings it evokes; contentment, peace, renewal, hope...and of course, love itself. Love for the time spent here, love for those we share it with, and love for the awe inspiring beauty and wonder of nature itself.

"Then Came Love" is created with palette knives on 12 oz stretched cotton canvas. It has been framed in a beautiful solid oak timber frame, and is satin varnished to preserve the colour and paint integrity for years to come. It will come with a COA.

Sharon Rynehart is an impressionist palette knife artist widely recognised for her flowing, expressive style of the sea, land and sky. A former Interior Designer and Colour Consultant, Sharon had health issues a while ago that saw her turn to painting for therapy and healing. Transforming her creative practice into what she now calls ‘heartwork’; emotive, hope-fuelled pieces inspired by faith, connective memory and experience, and the beauty of our Australian coastlines and landscapes. Sharon uses her background in colour theory to create original artworks with beautiful colour harmonies that allow you to reflect on your own story; to finish the train of thought, to remember a time or place, and to explore and feel the emotions they instill. Artworks that are relatable, that invite you to reflect, force an exhale, evoke a sense of calm…and bring you hope.

Sharon enjoyed recent success as a Finalist in Art to Art’s acclaimed “Unearthed” Art Prize, and has been fortunate to have several of her artworks featured on Channel 9’s “The Block” TV show. She has also had pieces featured in Grand Designs Australia Magazine. Sharon has gallery representation in both Brisbane and Melbourne and apart from these galleries, her works can be viewed in person tri-annually at the Affordable Art Fairs in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

Now widely collected both in Australia and Internationally, Sharon’s pieces continue to resonate with many, inspiring calm and connection through an uplifting sense of place and emotion. They are a reminder to always look for light and hope…no matter the trials and challenges we all face.
