Artwork Description

Twilight hour is that almost magical time of day at dusk as the sky heralds a time for quiet and rest over the landscape below. Last rays of light almost bounce across the ranges and mountains below...glimmers of pink light through trees and light that dances across lush green pastures and open fields. Horses grazing -as always - but at this time of day there is a gentle peace and quiet unlike any other time of day. And it doesn't last long. in an hour it's gone. The land descends into darkness in restful anticipation for when the light will return once again tomorrow. For now, it's twilight hour.

This textured and emotive landscape of greens, blues, indigos, and pinks was a joy to create and brings joy now in it's completion. I hope it brings joy to a new owner too.

It is framed in solid Oak, satin varnished, and will come with a COA.

Thank you for stopping to consider "Twilight Hour" for your space. I'm most grateful and hope you love it as much as I do.

NB: While every effort is made to capture the true colours and details of my artwork, every screen is different and art viewed online does not do my work justice. Slight differences may be evident between a screen image and the true tone and textures of my work, which is more vivid and beautiful in reality. Scale may also be slightly off due to the insitu art app used, so please ensure you measure your space.

Artist Bio

“…painting stories evoking light and hope.”

Sharon Rynehart is an impressionist palette knife artist widely recognised for her flowing, expressive style of the sea, land and sky. A former Interior Designer and Colour Consultant, Sharon had health issues a while ago that saw her turn to painting for therapy and healing. Transforming her creative practice into what she now calls ‘heartwork’; emotive, hope-fuelled pieces inspired by faith, connective memory and experience, and the beauty of our Australian coastlines and landscapes. Sharon uses her background in colour theory to create original artworks with beautiful colour harmonies that allow you to reflect on your own story; to finish the train of thought, to remember a time or place, and to explore and feel the emotions they instill. Artworks that are relatable, that invite you to reflect, force an exhale, evoke a sense of calm…and bring you hope.

Sharon enjoyed recent success as a Finalist in Art to Art’s acclaimed “Unearthed” Art Prize, and has been fortunate to have several of her artworks featured on Channel 9’s “The Block” TV show. She has also had pieces featured in Grand Designs Australia Magazine. Sharon has gallery representation in both Brisbane and Melbourne and apart from these galleries, her works can be viewed in person tri-annually at the Affordable Art Fairs in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

Now widely collected both in Australia and Internationally, Sharon’s pieces continue to resonate with many, inspiring calm and connection through an uplifting sense of place and emotion. They are a reminder to always look for light and hope…no matter the trials and challenges we all face.
