Sometimes it's hard to see past the darkness. It can be overwhelming, daunting...all consuming. But it's also comforting. And sometimes restorative. The darkness is needed to appreciate the light. While that light may appear elusive, I know it's coming, bringing new hope on the horizon. Storm clouds pass over, we navigate hills and valleys, before finding rest in lush fields beside still waters. It is much needed solitude. When light appears in the distance, that darkness begins to fade, and with it, our focus shifts. We begin to see more clearly again. A new perspective frames our thinking, we find a peace and strength to keep going...and that's where healing begins.
This emotive coastal landscape with it's moody sky over distant ranges, quiet valleys with water ways, dappled trees, and scattered horses grazing contentedly, evokes solitude, acceptance, and healing for me. I hope it does you too.
It is created with palette knives on 12 oz stretched polycotton canvas and has been framed in a beautiful solid oak timber frame. It has been satin varnished, and will come with a COA.
Thank you for pausing to view "Where Healing Begins".
NB: While every effort is made to capture the true colours and details of my artwork, every screen is different and art viewed online does not do my work justice. Slight differences may be evident between a screen image and the true tone and textures of my work, which is more vivid and beautiful in reality. Scale may also be slightly off due to the insitu art app used, so please ensure you measure your space.
