Cyclists Robin and Heidi by the tree with brush turkeys

It was the end of a plein air painting outing with the Kuringai art society. I was walking towards my car and saw two cyclists taking a break beside a big tree. Their white hair glittering in the sun and the colours of their bikes drew my attention. I quickly snapped a photo. I couldn’t resist but set up my easel again. I asked them if it’s ok to paint them. Robin nodded with a great sense of humor “this is probably our only chance to become famous “. It was such an enjoyable session watching brush turkeys wandering around them while they enjoyed the sun and their quick lunch. Robin told me to name the painting with their names “Robin and Heidi by the tree”and I happily oblige :)
