Jacaranda in storm

My favourite time of the year again. I feel so lucky that I have two huge jacaranda trees right opposite our place and I can watch their beautiful blossoms at home for almost a month. They are perfect painting subjects no matter when the sun shines or the storm is brewing. Thunderstorm is forecasted today and I saw the dark clouds surrounded the city, but the sun still lit up the jacaranda tree and the houses around it. Such dramatic contrast that I had to paint! I set up the easel quickly on the balcony and just after a few minutes big rain drops started smashing down. Luckily I only need to move back in the room 😂😂😂 As if it was afraid it was not enough drama, hails stated falling . Love the plein air experience at the comfort of home 🤭
