Sydney harbour- Goat island

Perfect sunny day for plein air, what more can I ask? 😎 A gentleman walking by stopped to tell me the hilarious story about this very spot of the goat island I am painting. It was the celebration of the bicentenary of Australia back in 1988. Ships from all over the world were parading in the harbour. People were watching on this side and waving to the ships passing by. The sailors on a Mexican boat were too busy waving back and crashed the boat right into the rock 😂
