All Mine - But Willing to Share

I had found a very small 1920s black and white photo and in one corner was this haunting little face, tightly clutching her doll. There was so much to be interpreted in the story so I modernised her in colour. I think it's a composition that the viewer can respond to in various ways.

Artist Statement
After painting as a full time artist for the past 15 years, I've decided to just leave some previous works available here as prints only. No originals. It is unfortunately no longer financially viable to try and sell original work on this site when my returns after two recent increases in commission from BT, increases in shipping, material costs etc mean my actual proceeds from a sale are quite small. Thanks to my collectors and followers these past years. I wish you all the very best.
