Artwork Description

This particular map drew me because I could see a beautiful starting point of a bird in the geographical lines of Tiwi Islands. The rest just seemed to follow. I turn the maps around the edges where possible, otherwise I paint edges white. Lightly sprayed with varnish. More work on maps coming if you're following me here. Some great maps of Flinders Ranges, a 1969 one of Port Lincoln and a 1960s one of Perth are probably next.

Artist Statement
After painting as a full time artist for the past 15 years, I've decided to just leave some previous works available here as prints only. No originals. It is unfortunately no longer financially viable to try and sell original work on this site when my returns after two recent increases in commission from BT, increases in shipping, material costs etc mean my actual proceeds from a sale are quite small. Thanks to my collectors and followers these past years. I wish you all the very best.
