Plumage

Years ago I did two portraits of women alongside birds and kept meaning to go back to that idea. I'd also done a series reusing old comic books in creating masks for oil portraiture. This is a combination of both of those ideas. Edges painted blue. Loads of my back catalogue of sold works now available as framed prints through my page here at Bluethumb.

Artist Statement
After painting as a full time artist for the past 15 years, I've decided to just leave some previous works available here as prints only. No originals. It is unfortunately no longer financially viable to try and sell original work on this site when my returns after two recent increases in commission from BT, increases in shipping, material costs etc mean my actual proceeds from a sale are quite small. Thanks to my collectors and followers these past years. I wish you all the very best.
