Rite of Summer

I love the joyous feeling of these kids jumping off Wagstaff wharf and wanted to try the figurative parts differently - less traditional oils, more illustrative with broken colour. Edges painted in the same blue. This one is fun to hang in places where that jumping figure might 'land'.

Artist Statement
After painting as a full time artist for the past 15 years, I've decided to just leave some previous works available here as prints only. No originals. It is unfortunately no longer financially viable to try and sell original work on this site when my returns after two recent increases in commission from BT, increases in shipping, material costs etc mean my actual proceeds from a sale are quite small. Thanks to my collectors and followers these past years. I wish you all the very best.
