One of the last few paintings on vintage maps that I'm working on this year. This particular map is probably 1950s. Obviously it was never meant to be painted on, its purpose in its previous lifetime shows in the wrinkles and quirks that are part of the artwork. Where possible, I turn the map paper around the edges. Otherwise edges are painted white. The blue in the background is quite bold, as is her hairstyle.
