In the last of my collection of maps to reuse is a pile of 1970s Mobile oil maps of Melbourne and Victoria. My challenge to myself is to rework them, same map, on same size canvas, in different ways. Once these are sold, there won't be any more. Compositions with larger numbers of people work better for me with harder edges to counteract the roads and other geographical areas. Some works will have softer edges. Lightly sprayed with varnish. Map is turned around the edges where possible, otherwise they're painted. Follow this page if you'd like updates on new work.
