Reflections

Reflections is one in my 'vessels of distinction' series. It shows a beautiful hand made vase by Bundjalung artist Kylie Caldwell with a sage old banksia pod. The painting signifies reflecting on the environment and traditional knowledge in caring for it - so much for us all to learn. The painting extends beyond the canvas over the frame encouraging the viewer to look beyond the box.

Welcome to my studio space.

I am a painter working in acrylics and oils. I am currently painting Australian florals and many of these represent the disconnect between our environments and the modern practices of land management. Others are just for the pure quirkiness and delight that I find in Australian flowers.
