Six days in a leaky boat

Poppies, blue water lilies and pink roses in a rusty old tin can. These are the national flowers of Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Iraq. There are over 43 million people displaced from these countries looking for somewhere safe. Lets make this year the year of compassion and care.

I am a painter working in acrylics and oils. I am currently painting Australian florals and many of these represent the disconnect between our environments and the modern practices of land management. Others are just for the pure quirkiness and delight that I find in Australian flowers.
