Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

The painting is inspired by a tradition, unique to Bulgaria - at Stone Beach (Kamen Bryag), the first morning of July is observed in honor of freedom, friendship, and the love of life. Uriah Heap’s 1971 song “July Morning” is played while the sun rises above the Black Sea. It is a moment of reverence and remembrance, for on this sacred morning, Bulgarians gather to pay homage to the soul-stirring melody of the unforgettable John Lawton.
In the soft light of early morning, a muted color palette of tranquil blues and earthy browns blankets the seascape, creating a canvas of understated elegance. Layers of color blend seamlessly, as if nature herself has brushed the scene with the gentlest of strokes. The seascape conveys serenity.
