These three pieces belongs to the ‘neon_ghetto_flux’ collection of works. The works are a trilogy which delves into the present and future involvement of technology on humanity and society. This tension is apparent, as noted in the title of each artwork – Liquid Chemistry, Plastic Biology and Beyond Existence.
The high-tech and gleaming colours, the 'neon flux’ is heavily present across the three works, but not over shadowing the ‘ghetto’ of decay and old, which SImon merges with cleverness. This provides an atmosphere of uncertainty. The imagery intends to provoke emotion; making it the essential indicator of someone’s ‘humanity’.
