Based in Brisbane, I am a painter working in oil, acrylic, and mixed media on canvas. I trained and worked as an engineer before becoming a full-time painter in 2012. In 2024, I turned from representation to abstraction, treating paint as its own subject. Surface and gesture now carry what image once conveyed.
My recent mixed-media work is built in layers of acrylic, charcoal, ink, and oil pastel on cradled wooden panels and stretched canvas. A limited palette and a sense of restraint keep the work quiet. Each piece keeps the traces of its making: scraped, drawn, and reworked surfaces that reward slow looking.
My work has been exhibited across Australia since 2012 and is held in private collections in Australia, the US, and Europe.
