Kangaroo Point Morning Walk

This painting captures the Brisbane River at Kangaroo Point in soft morning tones. Loose, fluid brushstrokes suggest movement in the water, while layered washes create depth in the reflections and atmosphere. Based in Brisbane, I am a painter working in oil, acrylic, and mixed media on canvas. After a two-year hiatus between 2023 and 2025, I returned full-time to the studio with a shift from representational work to abstraction — paint as its own subject, where surface and gesture carry what image once conveyed.
My work has been exhibited across Australia since 2011, with pieces held in private collections locally and throughout the US and Europe.
