Ceramic , green oxide, rake process,, various glazes, multi-fired

Signed on the back.

This bold ceramic sculpture has a dynamic presence. It is characterised by its deep red texture and curving horn, which evoke strength and energy. Its rhino form suggests power and playfulness. The mottled white/crimson red effect took 12 firings.
Research indicates sculptures provide higher emotional support than paintings. Unlike paintings, which are limited to two dimensions, sculptures reflect life in three-dimensional space. Sculptures are tactile; one can touch them and feel their texture, weight, and shape. They surprise and trigger pleasant psychological responses, resulting in a profoundly satisfying and genuinely invigorating aesthetic experience.

The painting presents a patchwork of sun-warmed hillsides in shades of orange and buttery yellow, where simple trees sway like gentle dancers against a light blue sky dotted with pearly clouds. Bold black lines carve the landscape into geometric segments, creating a rhythmic composition where each hill appears to roll and flow into the next, while a deep blue dam nestles in the orange upper ridge.Once, in a place between thoughts and dreams, lived a group of strange, happy beings. They didn’t have names or jobs, which made them feel free – the purple one didn’t worry about its yellow eyes, the blue one didn’t care that its ears looked like handles, and the little horse never wondered why it was the smallest. They simply existed, knowing it was okay not to have all the answers. In their garden of uncertainty, they danced, showing anyone who found them that the most beautiful things are the ones that don’t need to make sense.Powerful bull inspired by a Picasso drawing. Oregon base. The "Raku Beast" is a striking ceramic sculpture with a glossy, dark Raku glaze that captures the untamed essence of a wild, howling creature.
