'Carson' is a 30 x 30cm original painting from my 2018 Little Gems Series. This series of small paintings started out as studies for the larger 'Santosha' series, but afterwards I attend to each little artwork and follow it's path to completion.

With no expectation on the outcome I find the smaller series tend to have a beautiful sense of spontaneity and whimsy which is sometimes an intangible and very precious element in abstract works.

These paintings are very earthy and textured, predominently grey and brown with a touch of contrasting gold.
