Fresca - blue, green pink square abstract

Fresca is a large 107cm x 107cm abstract painting from my new 2019 series 'Fresh'. This series focuses on the balance between spontaneity and consideration. Just like in life it’s important to plan some things but also leave space for passion and intuition to guide us. A perfect blend I think.

Fresca is very textured and is a combination of blues, greens and neutrals with a touch of pink. The painting extends around the 3.8cm sides of the canvas so it’s ready to hang.

Stephanie grew up in the Country areas of the New South Wales Central Coast and moved to the Gold Coast in 1997 to be closer to her family. Daughter of political cartoonist Larry Pickering and one of eleven children, she enjoyed a colourful and interesting childhood. With a background in graphic design she was a partner in 'Studio Otto Illustration and Design' for 12 years before deciding to devote her time fully to painting in 2007. Solo Exhibition venues include Gold Coast 'Home of the Arts', Bundall, Doggett Street Studio, and Newstead Brisbane.
