Halcyon - Green Blue Abstract

Halcyon (denoting a time in the past that was happy and peaceful) is a new botanical abstract from Stephanie's 2023 'Lush' series.

'As a child I loved to turn around and look up through the trees and watch the sky and sunlight dance through the leaves and branches. This is Halcyon, my abstract memory of a magical feeling' #dizzykid

Halcyon is a combination of greens, blues, yellows and mustard olives. She is painted on 12oz canvas stretched onto a quality frame. The image wraps around the 3.8cm sides so Halcyon is ready to hang. If you would like a floating frame please see the listing options for a quote.

Stephanie grew up in the Country areas of the New South Wales Central Coast and moved to the Gold Coast in 1997 to be closer to her family. Daughter of political cartoonist Larry Pickering and one of eleven children, she enjoyed a colourful and interesting childhood. With a background in graphic design she was a partner in 'Studio Otto Illustration and Design' for 12 years before deciding to devote her time fully to painting in 2007. Solo Exhibition venues include Gold Coast 'Home of the Arts', Bundall, Doggett Street Studio, and Newstead Brisbane.
