Innata

I don't feel a painting is finished until I love it, but every now and then a painting happens that feels like it was created through me rather than from me. Innata is one of those special pieces for me. I hope you can feel this too.

Innata is part of my Fresca series (her name means intuition). She can be hung vertically or horizontally.

Innata is a combination of greens, blues and greys, with a touch of mustard, on a light grey/beige background and is painted on a quality stretched canvas with 3.8cm sides, so she's ready to hang.

Please note photos are taken before lacquering to reduce reflection in the images. Innata will be finished in 2 coats of satin lacquer for protection and longevity.

Stephanie grew up in the Country areas of the New South Wales Central Coast and moved to the Gold Coast in 1997 to be closer to her family. Daughter of political cartoonist Larry Pickering and one of eleven children, she enjoyed a colourful and interesting childhood. With a background in graphic design she was a partner in 'Studio Otto Illustration and Design' for 12 years before deciding to devote her time fully to painting in 2007. Solo Exhibition venues include Gold Coast 'Home of the Arts', Bundall, Doggett Street Studio, and Newstead Brisbane.
