Mies is a new painting from my Mid-Century series conveying the timeless quality of simplicity in form and colour to calm the mind and senses. Reminiscent of the screen printing textures of yesteryear, Mies captures the essence of Mid-Century's organic sculptural forms and clean lines and is named in honour of Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe a German born, American architect. Mies epitomised the International Style and exemplified his famous principal that 'less is more'.
The 3.8cm sides are painted so Mies is ready to hang. If you would like a floating frame (as in the room image), Bluethumb can provide a quote for a floating frame.
Please note these images are taken before lacquering to reduce reflection in the photos. Mies will be finished in 2 layers of satin lacquer.
