Senses - large blue navy diptych

Senses is a set of 2 paintings, that can be hung together or apart. They are from my new Mid -Century series conveying the timeless quality of simplicity in form and colour to calm the mind and senses. Reminiscent of the screen printing textures of yesteryear Senses captures the essence of spontaneity, subtlety and freshness.

Senses is painted on 2 stretched canvases (each 91 x 91cm square) with painted 3.8cm sides so they're ready to hang. The full length of the 2 artworks with a 10cm gap between them is approximately 193cm.

The first image shows a framing suggestion. Bluethumb art can provide a quote for floating frames.

Please note these images are taken before lacquering to reduce reflection in the photos. The artwork will be finished in 2 coats of satin lacquer for protection and longevity. This does increase the contrast and richness of colour slightly.

Stephanie grew up in the Country areas of the New South Wales Central Coast and moved to the Gold Coast in 1997 to be closer to her family. Daughter of political cartoonist Larry Pickering and one of eleven children, she enjoyed a colourful and interesting childhood. With a background in graphic design she was a partner in 'Studio Otto Illustration and Design' for 12 years before deciding to devote her time fully to painting in 2007. Solo Exhibition venues include Gold Coast 'Home of the Arts', Bundall, Doggett Street Studio, and Newstead Brisbane.
