This Way

This Way is a new abstract landscape painting from my 'Fresca' series which focuses on the balance between spontaneity and consideration. Just like in life it’s important to plan some things but also leave space for passion and intuition to guide us. A perfect blend I think.

This Way is a combination of blue, green and yellow with a touch of ochre. She's painted on quality stretched canvas with 3.8cm sides, so she's ready to hang. The image extends around the sides of the painting.

All paintings are finished in 2 coats of satin lacquer for protection and longevity.

Stephanie grew up in the Country areas of the New South Wales Central Coast and moved to the Gold Coast in 1997 to be closer to her family. Daughter of political cartoonist Larry Pickering and one of eleven children, she enjoyed a colourful and interesting childhood. With a background in graphic design she was a partner in 'Studio Otto Illustration and Design' for 12 years before deciding to devote her time fully to painting in 2007. Solo Exhibition venues include Gold Coast 'Home of the Arts', Bundall, Doggett Street Studio, and Newstead Brisbane.
