Where are you Going

Where are you Going is a new painting from Stephanie's 'Woven' series and can be Hung vertically or horizontally.

This series aims to convey the energy inherent in the earth that we stand upon. This energy is a culmination of the history that embodies the shifting layers of the land created over centuries of change. The story of the land is told through the layering of transparent washes and brushwork which is scraped back and then layered again, over and over, in a similar way to the evolution of the earth beneath us.

'Where are you Going' is a combination of earthy mustard, yellows and darker greens with splashes of white brush work. She's painted on a quality stretched canvas. The image wraps around the 3.8cm sides so WAYG is ready to hang.

All paintings are finished in 2 coats of satin lacquer for protection and longevity.

Stephanie grew up in the Country areas of the New South Wales Central Coast and moved to the Gold Coast in 1997 to be closer to her family. Daughter of political cartoonist Larry Pickering and one of eleven children, she enjoyed a colourful and interesting childhood. With a background in graphic design she was a partner in 'Studio Otto Illustration and Design' for 12 years before deciding to devote her time fully to painting in 2007. Solo Exhibition venues include Gold Coast 'Home of the Arts', Bundall, Doggett Street Studio, and Newstead Brisbane.
