I write books to think, compose music to dream, design to pay the bills and do art for pleasure. There never seems to be enough time in a day to complete every exploration on this adventure. As far as inspiration goes, I’m a futurist, therefore my passion for the ‘new’ compels me towards materialising that unknown discovery. Safe to say that as an artist, I try and subvert and avert 'having a style', as my unabated desire is to always try and create something novel, something not yet seen.
When I was a young adult I had sold enough paintings to go backpacking for two years. I later exhibited bronzes, collages and photography in South Africa, and paintings and drawings when I first arrived in Australia twenty years ago. I’ve won numerous design awards over the years, one which included a trip to London and Paris as the prize.
Audiences have often commented on the playful nature of my work. Even though it is largely unintentional, I am content to give sway to what happens in my subconscious. So, here begins the next chapter of play. I have no expectations except to follow where my muses lead, and hope you will join me on this journey. Thank you in advance for your support and patronage for all the arts.
I am truly grateful.
