I painted Bluff Hill Point to capture the raw, untamed beauty of Tasmania's west coast. The dramatic cliffs, wild ocean waves, and ever-changing skies create a sense of awe and wonder that I wanted to convey through my art. The vibrant colors and dynamic composition reflect the powerful natural forces at play in this remote location. By painting Bluff Hill Point, I aimed to share the feeling of isolation and the profound connection to nature that this place evokes. It is a tribute to the rugged, unspoiled landscapes that continue to inspire and captivate me.

Steve Myers is a Tasmania-based artist who mainly works in oils. A principal theme in Steve's work is the ocean where he finds his escapism and inspiration. Steve started surfing at the young age of four and he has always been drawn to the sea, its energy, and its vastness which provoke emotion that he tries to capture in his art. Steve mostly paints Tasmanian seascapes, particularly the wild west coast and its rugged beauty and remoteness.
