Eaglehawk Neck is a dramatic, narrow strip of land in southeast Tasmania, famous for its wild coastline, convict‑era history, and striking geological formations. It’s the gateway to the Tasman Peninsula and sits between Pirates Bay and Norfolk Bay, just an hour from Hobart.

Steve Myers is a Tasmania-based artist who mainly works in oils. A principal theme in Steve's work is the ocean where he finds his escapism and inspiration. Steve started surfing at the young age of four and he has always been drawn to the sea, its energy, and its vastness which provoke emotion that he tries to capture in his art. Steve mostly paints Tasmanian seascapes, particularly the wild west coast and its rugged beauty and remoteness.
