A painting is a lot like a garden really. You start with a seed of an idea which germinates until you have your plan. Then you do your preparation priming the canvas. You begin with some small details, small marks that only you can understand. They grow and grow and spread across your canvas till you have a riot of beautiful colour and shapes. There are periods when only you can see the final idea in your head and you keep tending it and working on it. Finally your creation has reached its peak, details added and your painting is at its best, finished.
No wonder Monet attributed his being a painter to his love of flowers. So here is “made with love”. I hope you enjoy it.
