Artwork Description

Drawing on my love of trees and colour has led me to create this simply delightful abstract piece. My purpose is as always to highlight the beauty in nature but to bring a smile to your face at the same time. it is a fantasy of colour and patterned shapes and reaches out to you from the canvas in all its boldness. The trees are all entwined and are like a family in their connectedness.

This one will lend positive energy and a sese of playfulness to your room. It appeals to all ages and reminds us to enjoy and respect nature. it would be complemented by a natural oak or black frame but the sides of the artwork reflect the story of the artwork and framing is unnecessary.
It would look striking in an entry way or study or over a sideboard and will bring you lots of enjoyment.
Please note the signature for this one is on the side of the painting so it doesn’t detract from the painting and is not large.

Artist Bio

My work is an expression of my deep connection to nature, drawn from the subtle beauty I encounter in my daily walks through the Australian landscape. The fleeting yet profound moments I find in local plants, flowers, and gardens are at the heart of my practice. I am inspired by the delicate, often overlooked details that, when observed closely, reveal the resilience and vibrancy of life. These small but significant finds serve as the foundation for my abstract floral and landscape paintings.

In my art, I aim to celebrate the essence of nature—not through realistic depictions, but through bold, abstract forms that elevate the quiet energy of plants and gardens. My work reflects my reverence for nature’s intricate beauty, and my desire to bring attention to the often-hidden wonders of the natural world. Each painting is an exploration of how the landscape speaks to me: it could be the subtle play of light on a petal, the curve of a leaf, or the rhythm of growth that occurs just beneath the surface.

My practice is not only about capturing what I see, but also about fostering a dialogue between the internal and external landscapes—the emotional response I feel as I encounter these living forms, and the way nature’s rhythms mirror our own human experience. Through color, texture, and abstraction, I seek to convey the layers of meaning and connection I feel with the natural world, offering viewers a space to pause and reflect on the beauty that surrounds us.

Ultimately, my work is a tribute to the natural world, an attempt to elevate the often unnoticed moments in our everyday lives, and an invitation for others to see and appreciate the extraordinary in the seemingly ordinary.
