Come into my world of abstract flowers that are a celebration of Nature and its beauty. I love to paint these inspired pieces that are so full of colour and flower imagery. I think they are happy paintings and are unique in that I have created them and explored new paint applications ad brush techniques along with patterns and colour to suggest mood and convey energy and movement. They have been one of my top selling styles and i never get bored looking for new ways to express my love of all thing's flowers. i can certainly say that along with my garden series, this artwork is also inspired by the Impressionists and my desire to push the boundaries of creativity.

Petals, leaves and nature were my inspiration with patterned shapes that flow like a natural stream across the canvas in soft lemony cream, blue and stunning emerald greens that celebrate the beauty of the natural world. There are patterns swirling across the canvas in a variety of ways that creates energy and movement. This is a visual feast of nature. The framed view is for illustration purposes only. A fun piece of floral fantasy with blocks of colours- burgundy, greens, pinks, oranges and white highlights make up the colour scheme of this striking artwork. A vibrant energetic display of proteas bursting with life in tones of pinks, burgundy and turquoise. A larger-than-life portrayal of these beautiful protea flowers. I have called this piece Passionate Romance because I think these are the types of flowers that spark a real and lifelong interest in them. They are not the traditional cut glass style of flower or pretty cottage garden flower. To me they are robust and energetic.

I think they lend themselves to this abstracted strong loose interpretation and I wanted the image of them to be striking rather than shy and delicate.

A burgundy poppy against abstract green leaves with splashes of light. This is a powerful piece with strong lines and whilst painted from a view in a garden in Tasmania, I was aware of the symbolism of black poppies and their meaning.

This is a deeply meaningful artwork that haunting in its beauty and charm whilst the style of the art is less traditional, I have intended the striking abstraction of the poppy to further emphasise the deep emotions this flower represents.
