Artwork Description

This original painting was created using Watercolour paint and inks on Ampersand Claybord and the details were scratched using a variety of scratching tools. It has been mounted with an off-white and orange matt board to compliment the artwork and is professionally framed in an orange frame.

Kingfisher
Kingfishers are meant to be a symbol of peace and prosperity. It has many superstitions and legends surrounding it, many of which originate from Greece. If the kingfisher comes to you in a dream, be prepared to jump in and try something new.

Originally from Liverpool in the UK, Sue emigrated to Australia in 2006 and made her home in Western Australia with her husband and two children.
Sue draws her inspiration from nature and the wildlife that surrounds us. A self-taught artist, Sue likes to use a variety of mediums and enjoys getting out of her comfort zone and trying new techniques, the latest being scratchboard art, or scraper board as it is alternatively called.
