Artwork Description

This artwork was created using watercolour pencils on an Ampersand Aquabord and scratched to show the details of the feathers. The artwork is mounted on a cream matt board to show off the thickness of the board and is framed in a thick silver frame. TruView glass has been used to not only protect the artwork from moisture, dust and scratches, but to reduce the glare on the glass, allowing for a better view of the artwork.

Yellow Tail Black Cockatoo
The Yellow Tail Black Cockatoo is native to the South East of Australia and can be found in parts of Queensland. It is easily recognised by its yellow colouring on the cheeks and tail, plus on the edge of it’s feathers. The black cockatoo symbolises that changes are coming and there is light at the end of the tunnel.

The reference photo was purchased from Deposit Photos.
