The surrounding landscape and horizons fascinate me and feature heavily in my paintings. The play of light, changes in the weather and fleeting moments that transform the environment is what I strive to capture in my paintings. Working spontaneously, I want to show my love of landscape, using simple mark making, and experimentation with colour and texture.
This series depicts rural landscapes of and around the Cowra district where my family is from and where I spent my childhood.
