This painting was inspired by a holiday in Western Australian mainly visiting the Margaret River region. We took a 4WD through forest and managed to walk some of the way. For me this forest transcended reality and took me to a place of peace. I also noticed the many and varied parrots WA seem to have and I have incorporated some to them into the landscape.
