Unfinished Business is a term often used in gestalt therapy to name an unresolved relationship dynamic. Every one of us has relationships that are unfinished in some way. The things we wish we had or hadn't said or done. Sometimes it's possible to resolve these within ourselves, even with people who have died or left in some other way. This painting is the beginning of that exploration.
