This is my another painting of Icarus. This time I depicted him much younger. The boy who flew too close to the sun. But idea of my both works is the same. I agree with poet Jack Gilbert who said:
βI believe that Icarus was not failing as he fell, but just coming to the end of his triumph.β
In this painting I used gauze (cheesecloth) on stretched canvas for textural effects.
