Artwork Description

In Throwaway's collaboration with Melbourne-based drag performer and identity, Prozac, the artist celebrates his subject's unique personality and their truly iconic style.

Capturing Prozac's makeup stylings and neon costuming is no easy task - especially in monotone black and white. To make up for it, this piece misdirects by dialing up the detail and intensely focusing on tonal variation.

As with many of Throwaway's pieces, this artwork features a cheeky nod to renaissance paintings and the paintings of the Classical Masters.
