Artwork Description

This is another painting from the series called "Not Quite Japanese" Series of portraits inspired and dedicated to one of the greatest, Francisco Goya.
Painted on 300 grams Saunders ( British made ) all cotton paper.
Paper size is 49,5 x 58 cm. Image size is 48,5 x 48 cm
Very rewarding experience reading ( excellent biography by Australian Robert Hughes, simply called -Goya ) .
It comes with old frame ( it is pretty light, so most likely soft wood or artificial wood ) . It has nice patina due to the age.
Ready for the wall. Not framed under glass, which is not necessary since painting has been protected with thin layer of Krylon varnish.
Frame is optional. It can be easily taken out of frame for posting rolled in a tube ( painting only )
Thank you.

Artist Bio

Born in Croatia in 1958, Tony Belobrajdic is a Sydney based figurative artist. He started exhibiting in the late seventies and had his first solo show in 1983 in Croatia. Tony moved to New York in 1987 where he continued his art practice. He exhibits both in Sydney and Europe regularly. Acrylics, watercolours and oils have been the mediums of choice. Etchings is the latest medium being explored and studied with a great passion.
His style could be described as contemporary impressionism, mostly portraits and figures.
